Why do parents use those?!
Can't you just carry him?
I thought these very things any time I saw a mom using one of these...
Thats right... a harness :-)
I never thought I would be the type of mom to actually use one of these... Whenever I saw parents with them I thought they were cruel and silly... but OH HOW I WAS WRONG!
This is a great way to teach a child. Taite is a very "go go go" baby. He likes to be on the move all the time.. and when I don't wear him he wants to run. When I'd shop at Target he would run so fast that you seriously would loose him if you didn't walk behind him the entire time. Keeping him in the cart worked some days... but other days he just refused to sit quietly in the cart... he wanted to walk.
I needed a way to let him enjoy walking... without allowing him to run wild throughout the store.
So I decided to try the harness method out...
I still think it looks sort of silly :-) but I do think it works well... and that its allowing me a way to let Taite walk.. without loosing him.. and it is also giving me the chance to correct him when he tries walking away. A simple tug and he gets the point.
This harness also doubles as a back pack for them. You can unhook the strap if needed.
They do look pretty cute with the little back pack on :-)

She can also use it to carry her other small toys and is compact and totally portable. She is very excited to get to use it. This is one playset we will use a lot, leaving it in the car is the best idea. It can easily be wiped and disinfected it's the perfect playset for on the go!

The 2 in 1 harness buddy is a fun way to safely keep your child with you. You no longer have to keep them confined in the cart, or chase them around the store.
Fun
I remember when I was about 5 and my family and I went to Disneyland. My parents were concerned about the safety of us children and so to keep us nearby they used these horrible blue and white "leashes" that would strap around our wrists so that we would be safe. We were safe, we didn't and couldn't run away, however at the age of 5 I felt so humiliated. I wasn't really able to use the hand that was connected to the leash so I only had 1 hand available. I swore that when I had children of my own that I would never do that to them. That being said, now that I have my own child I find that safety is top on the list when looking for products that I will be using for them. However like my experience when I was young, it has to be something that they will want to use. I don't want to have to fight with them for 10 minutes to get them to use something for the 5 minute run into the store.
I have the Kustom Memories 2 in 1 harness that is the Monkey. It is so cute, and so fun and yet it works. The monkey body is used as a backpack for your child so they can have fun with it and pack their little toys, but they are always close by. They have a lot of styles to chose from so it would be fun to let your child pick out the one that they'd like.
Safe
The harness buddy straps around your child over the chest and over the stomach. The tail is a strap for you to hold onto and is about 3 feet long so your child does have room to run, but not too far. The backpack is machine washable so when you have the spills or the messes you can just toss it into the washer and it is ready for the next time.

I recently got to try out some awesome products from Kustom Memories. We received the 2 In 1 Harness Buddy. Panda Bear, and this sucker has been such a helpful item for me when I have the girls by myself and Sarah is trying to run around. She loves wearing the backpack.

It is a known fact in the medical community that reading to a child
helps them with development! They are more likely to excel in school,
and reading also helps children with socialization when someone
explains the pictures and words to a child. My mom instilled in a me a
great love of reading, and to be perfectly honest I would rather read
than watch TV any day! This is something I want to pass on to my little
one! So, we read and read and read. Sometimes he is in to it and
sometimes he could care less! Well, I just received the coolest item
that will help him be a little more absorbed in the book! Kustom Memories
sent me a custom book called, "Baby Jesus." This story uses my little
mans name and nickname over and over telling a story about how he went
with the wise men to see baby Jesus and take Him gifts! It is just the
coolest! I love it because of my religious beliefs but also because it
mentions three people that are most involved in my sons life.
Honestly, I told my mom..that though I have gotten a lot of things to review on my blog, I was MOST excited about this!! I really really am! Granted, he really is too young to understand that his name is actually used in the book but one day it will be a treasured possession!

Another great product from a company that I love!! Kustom Memories sent me a terrific frog 2 in 1 harness buddy for my little man! I have to admit that before I became a mom I hated the idea of these! Really…I thought it just did not look great to have your child on a “leash” but now I completely understand why this item is a necessity for any mother of a hyper toddler! My little man is soooo stubborn and so full of energy that this 2 in 1 harness buddy has been a lifesaver for us. I think it comes in the most handy when going to places like amusement parks and zoos. It also has a cute little pouch built in that is perfect for a small toy or in my case, perfect for an extra paci or snack.
Kustom Memories also offers custom books for children. I reviewed one of these a while back and I was very impressed with the quality of it! I really think that these books make a wonderful Christmas gift so if you are completely stumped about what to get that for a special little someone in your life this is it! It is definitely a keepsake that will last a lifetime!
